We offer a two man service to operate the vacuum excavator combined with an air compressor with air picks to ensure safe excavation techniques are used when working around live underground services.

Operated Wheeled Excavators

We operate a fleet of wheeled excavators for all of your on site trial excavation works. please contact our dedicated Geotechnical support team to book your next operated excavator.

4x4 water bowser and operator

We provide a 2000 litre water bowser towed with a specialist commercial vehicle to deliver water for all of your on site requirements. All of our operators are fully trained for conducting soak away testing for our clients.

Unimog and water tanker

Our specialist Mercedes U430 Unimog complete with a large capacity water tank to carry out percolation testing. This unit has low ground pressure types which helps to reduce damage to the land. This machine is capable to carry out field work in all conditions. This machine is the perfect option for all the sites that have bad ground conditions and a normal 4x4 isn’t capable to travel without getting stuck. The tank is fitted with a 6 inch high flow water pump to deliver 8000 litres of water within a matter of minutes into the test hole. We are also able to suck the water back out of the excavation once the testing is complete to ensure backfill is stable.

Operated mini tracked excavators

We offer a full range of rubber tracked mini excavators ranging from 1 tonne to 8 tonne. All mini excavators are on rubber tracks to minimise damage to hard surfaces when operating on site. We provide all of our machines with fully trianed operators. We also offer a full range of attachments for each size excavator.

Track Dumper Hire

We offer both self drive and operated track dumper hire to support on site drilling works. Throughout the winter months we know how difficult it is to access sites using standard 4x4 vehicles. Our track dumpers are the perfect units to safely move rigs and ancillary equipment needed for the drillers to operate their rigs. We have dumpers from 3 tonne to 20 tonne.

Archeological Deep Excavations

Maddock Geotechnical Support carry out specialist archaeological deep excavation works to safely allow the archeological teams access to carry out their planned works.

Maddock have all of the equipment needed to safely undertake any excavation.

We can design any excavation with our team of engineers to safely carry out the excavation support needed. All the required working drawings and RAMS will be provided to our client to sign off.

Also additional equipment may be needed to manage the ground water which will enter each excavation.

Our Mercedes U430 Multi Utility machine

Our Mercedes U430 complete with a low loader, Water tanker and Tipper trailer is the ideal support tool for all of you on site geotechnical field works. We can mobilise equipment to works locations, supply large volumes of water to carry our testing and drilling or even remove excess spoil from excavations around the site. This machine is ideal as it has low ground pressure tyres capable of navigating across the worst site conditions. This machine is also fitted with its own water pressure washing system to allow the operator to clean the machine before leaving the fields and entering the highway. This means that there is no need for the client to have road sweepers to keep the works area or highway clean. This machine is fitted with a full surround camera system, Full LED surround warning beacons, Reverse warning buzzer and LED work lights to ensure maximum safety when this machine is operating on your site.

Large operated tracked excavators

We provide large tracked excavators from 13 tonne to 30 tonne all with steel or rubber track pads. All machines are provided on an operated hire basis to ensure our clients get the best service on site. please see our photo gallery for more details.

Hand pitting

Due to high demand on site we provide teams with all of the required equipment to carry out hand excavation works. This is done using a range of equipemtnt we supply to minimise the use of excavation machines. We have a great team with several years experience in completing hand excavations for locating services and inspecting exisitng foundations etc.

Street works excavations

Our trained staff has the NRSWA accredited training to allow us to carry out excavation works within the public highway and footpaths. We also have all of the necessery chapter 8 equipment to carry out the traffic management for the road/path closure.

Soak away testing

We provide our clients a fully managed on site water
soakaway testing service. Our skilled team can carry out the soakaway test and create a detailed site log
for the test results. We have a state of the art digital system to capture the data recorded onsite which is then emailed to our clients.

Maddock Geotechnical Support offers a full range of re-instatement services for all types of hard standing and soft scape areas. No job is to small for our re-instatement team to manage

Concrete Re-instatement

We carry out concrete re-instatement works to backfill and make good completed trial pit excavations. we have the ability to re-instate small excavations to large scale areas. We offer a price per square meter to prep and carry out the concreting works.
